Getting rid of belly fat can be difficult, time consuming and just plain annoying. A common misconception is that you can crunch your belly away. Spot reduction simply doesn’t work! Burning fat does. When you burn fat doing cardio, that fat will come off of your belly too. So, when it comes to belly fat, cardio is your best friend. There really is no secret to obtaining a slim stomach.
That’s not to say that you can take some additional measures to slim your belly. You should add in some exercises specific to working the core of your body (abs, lower back). Exercises incorporated in yoga and pilates are great for this. Also eliminate simple carbs like potatoes, sugars and alcohol. It may be hard for you meat and potato fans out there but you need to decide if you would rather eat potatoes, or look like one.
