Dear Girly Fitness,

There is another meditation technique that does an amazing job of building up concentration levels. It is called "Tratak". It is essentially a technique that involves uninterrupted gazing into a meditation object such as a candle flame for a period of a 5-15 minutes. It is one of the easiest and most effective concentration building technique.

My favorite butt exercises are lunges and split squats. Split squats kick my butt every time! They're awesome.

I'm so glad you made this post. I agree with the other comments: it's so important for women to be lifting weights: it really helps with becoming toned, slim and even lose a few pounds! I first tried lifting weights at my gym in Boston- Healthworks . They offer fun classes which helped motivate me into the gym and teach me some good exercises. All you Boston area women: I highly recommend it!!!

Dear Girly Fitness

There is a fourth method of meditation, Transcendental Meditation. This is an effortless mental technique which requires neither concentration nor contemplation. The mind settles down to a state of least excitation of midn and body and the mind transcends the finest value of a thought or sound and experiences inner silence or pure consciousness; pure in the sense of unmixed with anything else.

Practice of Transcendental Meditation requires no change in beliefs or lifestyle and takes 15-20 minutes morning and evening.

Moreover there is more research on the benefits of Transcendental Meditation than any other method of meditation. The website www.t-m.org.uk has more information.

Yours faithfully

yeah we do! However, I was overtraining myself by working out everyday. The guys at live forever at letslivelonger.blogspot.com/2009/04/lift-weights-to-lose-weight.html said to do my major muscle work outs only 3 times a week and do cardio on the other days. Otherwise not giving your muscles time to heal, won't help them but hurt them. Works for me! Thanks guys.
